Sofonisba Anguissola and her artwork

One of the world famous female artist is Sofonisba Angusissola, she was an Italian Renaissance painter who lived from 1532–1625. During these time, Women can't have equal opportunities as man to study the art and paint.  However, Her father encouraged her and her sisters in their artistic endeavors, likely more so than other women would have experienced at that time. Although she didn't get the same opportunity like other man artists, which allowed to study the naked women form. She started to draw the special portrait. There is a famous painting called Lucia, Minerva and Europa Anguissola Playing Chess.  From the painting, we can find that the portrait is totally different from other portraits, the characters in the picture have their own expression, and the women are playing the chess, which are not normal for women to play the chess at that period.  From the painting, we can feel the author's strong emotions to fight for the women's right.  She really wants to express her own feeling from the artwork, and develops some new style.
