Modernism/PostModernism

    
    Modernism/Postmodernism, a historical movement that began on the turn of the century, lasting from early 1900s to late 1940s, was a movement to deviate from the traditional ways of how to interact with the world. It influenced new ideologies, created new boundaries, advocated change, and fought for both sexual, as well as racial equalities. Modernism/Postmodernism is basically about creativity, art and activities. Modernism never involved realism and was more like of a self-paced thing. During this time of era modernism/postmodernism was more of rights opening for woman's, when women started realizing their rights and wrongs. Art, creativity and photography was the focus of representing woman modernism. Such as, Cindy Sherman she is a best-known photographer in mid-1900's and still current. Cindy Sherman had once said "I am trying to make other people recognize something of themselves rather than me". To explain, that art is not always about the other artist life but, yet it is about recognizing yourself in an art piece. Cindy Sherman is a self-portrait photographer under different guises that shown her artwork in images. Also, Cindy
Sherman artwork is also hung up in the Momma museum in New York. She has also worked in the film industries and overall did an amazing performance in artwork. In Addition, another woman modernism artist name Sherrie Levine and she talks about appropriate label towards an art piece. Most of her work was about appropriation citation forward art work, Her dubbed images made her famous throughout her career. Another woman in art history is also known as Barbara Kruger who is a she is an amazing artist with different type of conceptional artist to have the mission and passion out to the world. Her artwork is mainly to send a message to the audience.
